# The sign

> The BLIND ANT sign on its hill, as a 3D render built in Blender by a script Claude wrote. Its alt text comes first.

Part of [Do Androids Dream of Electric Ants?](https://blind-ant.com/pieces/do-androids-dream/index.md), a Piece.

3D render, October 2026. Built and lit in Blender by Claude, from a description.

A dry golden hillside in late-afternoon light, shot from across a valley. Huge white blocky capital letters spell BLIND ANT on the slope, raised on thin steel stilts. There is a clear gap between the two words, and a pale dust track winds up the hill through that gap to the ridge. Three slim communications masts with red lights stand on the ridge against hazy brown mountains. Long shadows from the low sun stretch across the scrub-covered slope, and the letters glow warm cream on their sunlit faces. A small, hazy city fills the far left edge under a pale blue sky with streaks of pink cloud. A smooth scrubby foreground ridge fills the bottom of the frame. The image is a 3D render and the scene does not exist in real life.

Every hill, letter, mast and bush in it was placed by code, and lit by a simulated sun.
